About Our Expert:
Jan Hamilton, MS, MT(ASCP)SBB, boasts a wealth of experience as the Manager of the Immunohematology Reference Laboratory (IRL) at the American Red Cross-Southeastern Michigan Region. Her contributions extend to being a member of the ISBT Immunohaematology Working Party and an Associate Editor for the journal Immunuhematology. Jan has chaired the AABB IRL Accreditation Program Unit and the ACSP Board of Registry Blood Bank Examination Committee. She’s co-authored chapters in the AABB Technical Manual and written extensively on serological problem-solving. Jan’s passion also extends to her involvement with the Indian Immunohematology Initiative, promoting hands-on immunohematology education in India and neighboring South Asian countries.
